Voices of Valour: A Tribute to Christian Defenders of Pakistan
Authored by Major General (R) Dr. Noel I. Khokhar, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Voices of Valour is a groundbreaking tribute to the unsung Christian heroes who have served Pakistan with unwavering loyalty, courage, and sacrifice. Spanning over a century of military history, this richly illustrated coffee-table book chronicles the gallant contributions of Christian officers and soldiers in the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force from the early days of independence to modern counter-terrorism operations.
The book highlights the stories of decorated war heroes, martyrs, and trailblazers who fought in the 1947–48 Kashmir War, the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars, and the ongoing war against terrorism. It also features pioneering Christian women in uniform, non-native defenders who helped build Pakistan’s military institutions, and inspirational figures in sports and education. With endorsements from senior military leaders, religious figures, and academics, Voices of Valour not only documents history it reshapes it. It challenges stereotypes, celebrates patriotism, and calls for greater inclusion of minorities in national service. This labour of love is a powerful reminder that the white in Pakistan’s flag stands for the vibrant contributions of its minority communities.
A must-read for youth, historians, policymakers, and patriots alike.
